Our Process
Our Process:
From Pasture to Plate
At Crescent Hill Farm & Ranch, we take great pride in our sustainable, regenerative, and organic farming practices. Nestled in the rolling Ozark hills of Southwest Missouri, our farm is home to Scottish Highland cattle that are born, raised, and carefully nurtured right here on our land.
We believe exceptional beef begins with exceptional care. That’s why our cattle are raised naturally with patience, respect, and hands-on stewardship every step of the way. Our farm is completely free of insecticides, pesticides, chemical sprays, GMOs, growth hormones, antibiotics, and vaccinations. We are committed to keeping both our land and livestock as natural as possible.
Our Scottish Highlands are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished, spending their lives grazing open pasture and maturing naturally to approximately three years of age. This slower, more traditional approach helps develop the rich flavor, tenderness, and nutrient-dense quality Scottish Highland beef is known for.
Once fully matured, our cattle are processed locally through a trusted USDA-certified processor, where the beef is carefully dry-aged to enhance both flavor and tenderness before being expertly packaged into individual cuts.
Those cuts are then offered directly through our on-farm Country Store, allowing customers the unique opportunity to shop right where the cattle are raised. We welcome patrons to experience the farm firsthand and see the care and dedication that goes into every part of our process.
When raised correctly, Scottish Highland cattle produce beef with an exceptional nutritional profile, outstanding marbling, and a truly superior eating experience. At Crescent Hill Farm & Ranch, we are honored to provide wholesome, naturally raised, better beef! From our family farm to your family table.
